Ingredients in Homemade Lemonade

Lemon juice– Depending on your tartness preference for lemonade this will determine how much or little of this you need. I recommend using real lemon juice from freshly squeezed lemons because it tastes so much better, but you can use bottled lemon juice if that is what you have on hand.

Granulated sugar– Again, depending on your sweetness preference this will determine your measurement of sugar used here.

Water– This will be what the majority of your lemonade is! Very healthy, right?! This will dilute the lemon juice and the sugar to create the amazing taste of lemonade that you love!

Tips for Better Tasting Homemade Lemonade

  • Make simple syrup- In order to have all ingredients incorporated well and no sugar settling at the bottom of your ice-cold glass of lemonade this step is highly recommended.
  • Juice fresh lemons- Roll your lemons on a hard surface before juicing to get as much lemon juice out of them as possible and it makes juicing them slightly easier!
  • Strain freshly squeezed lemon juice into cooled simple syrup so that you remove any pulp and seeds that made it into the juice.
  • When serving this tasty refreshing lemonade, you can add ice cubes to the pitcher and serve immediately or you can chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for a few hours and then serve it.
