Halloween Party Mummy Brownies

These mummy brownies are super easy to make, absolutely delicious, and will be the highlight of your next big Halloween party!

Hey! Are you planning a fun Halloween themed party this year and looking for the perfect treats to make for it? Well, this is the right place for that because these mummy brownies are bound to be a hit at your event! They do not take much time to make and you actually have a few options when it comes to making them. I have a homemade brownies recipe here on my blog, Best Chewy Homemade Brownies, and you can just whip these up and then decorate them accordingly.

There are also times where I want an even quicker option for party planning when there are many treats and different foods that I have to prepare and I will use a fudge brownie box mix. I follow the instructions directly except I use milk instead of water. That is all I do and the brownies are still tasty and fudgy! Choose which brownies you will use and go from there! I like to have a variety of options here on my blog because I know there are those of you who like everything from scratch better but there are also those of you who like box mixes as well! Both are fine and both can be yummy!

Now that my daughter is older, I love making treats like these with her and she gets so excited for the holidays. It is also a fun time to let your children join in and help you make this treat and the memories last a lifetime! Make them with whoever you want and I guarantee you will be laughing and having a good time seeing the different looking mummies! This can even be a party activity where you let your guests make their own mummy brownies and you can add sprinkles and different topping to make them even more unique!

Ingredients in Halloween Party Mummy Brownies

Brownies- Like I stated earlier, you can use my recipe here, Best Chewy Homemade Brownies if you like things from scratch, or you can use a box mix. The choice is yours!

White Chocolate Candy Wafers- I use the Wilton ones that are white and I just melt them down in the microwave.

Coconut Oil- I use this to thin the chocolate down some so that the chocolate is easier to work with! If anyone has a coconut allergy then use a different oil that solidifies when cool.

Candy eyes- These are for the mummies’ eyes but you can also use black fondant and roll it into little balls if you cannot find any candy eyes!

Tips for Making Halloween Party Mummy Brownies

  • Melt your chocolate down slowly in 30 second intervals and make sure to stir in between each interval so that your chocolate does not burn in some spots.
  • Use coconut oil to thin your chocolate down and make it easy to dip and decorate your mummies!
  • Use parchment paper on your cookie sheet for easy clean up after decorating.
  • Make sure you let your brownies completely cool, preferably over night before dipping into the chocolate.
  • You can spoon your “mummy wrappings” over your brownies or use a piping bag whichever is easier for you.
  • Use two separate bowls for dipping and the mummy wrappings because sometimes the crackly tops of the brownies fall off into the melted chocolate after dipping.

How to Make Halloween Party Mummy Brownies

  1. Make the brownies and allow them to cool completely.
  1. Cut the brownies into rectangles.
  1. Melt the chocolate wafers down.
  1. Add in the coconut oil and mix well until the chocolate is smooth.
  1. Prep a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  1. Dip each brownie into the melted chocolate and place them on the parchment paper.
  1. Place two candy eyes on top of each brownie and allow the chocolate dipped brownies to cool and harden.
  1. Once the chocolate dipped brownies cool, spoon more chocolate over top in diagonal lines all over to resemble mummy wrappings.
  1. Let everything cool completely and enjoy!
