Fries:
- 1 (28-ounce) bag frozen seasoned French fries
Sausage-Shrimp Mixture:
- 1/2 pound andouille sausage (sliced)
- 1/2 pound cooked shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Toppings:
- 1/2 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup green onions (sliced)
- 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños (optional)
- 1/3 cup remoulade sauce (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven and bake fries: Preheat oven to 425°F and bake French fries until crispy.
- Sauté vegetables and meats: Sauté bell pepper, onion, and garlic, then add andouille sausage, shrimp, Cajun seasoning, and cayenne pepper.
- Assemble and bake: Spread fries on a platter, top with sausage-shrimp mixture and cheeses, bake until cheese is melted.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with green onions, jalapeños, and drizzle with remoulade sauce.
Notes
- For a homemade remoulade, combine mayo, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, horseradish, garlic, and paprika.
- You can also use tater tots instead of fries.
- To make it spicier, increase cayenne or use a spicy Cajun blend.
