Description

Turtle Lush is a decadent no-bake layered dessert combining the rich flavors of Oreo cookie crust, creamy cheesecake filling, luscious chocolate pudding, caramel sauce, and crunchy pecans. Perfectly chilled and served cold, this indulgent treat is ideal for parties or special occasions and delivers a delightful mix of creamy, crunchy, and gooey textures.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 3 cups (about 300 grams) Oreo cookie crumbs
  • 8 tablespoons (115 grams) unsalted butter, melted

Cheesecake Layer

  • 8 ounces (225 grams) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (60 grams) powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces (225 grams) whipped topping, thawed

Pudding Layer

  • 1 package (5.9 ounces or 167 grams) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups (720 ml) cold milk

Toppings

  • ½ cup (120 ml) caramel sauce
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) chocolate syrup
  • 1 cup (120 grams) chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: In a medium bowl, combine the Oreo cookie crumbs and melted unsalted butter. Mix thoroughly until the crumbs are evenly coated with butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form an even crust layer.
  2. Make the cheesecake layer: In a separate large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until fully incorporated. Spread this cheesecake mixture evenly over the prepared Oreo crust in the baking dish.
  3. Prepare the pudding layer: In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened and smooth. Pour the pudding evenly over the cheesecake layer in the dish.
  4. Add toppings: Drizzle the caramel sauce and chocolate syrup evenly over the pudding layer. Then, sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly on top for a crunchy finish.
  5. Chill: Cover the dessert with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set and chilled. This chilling step ensures all layers firm up and flavors meld beautifully.
  6. Serve: Once chilled, slice into 12 servings and enjoy this rich and luscious Turtle Lush dessert cold.
