Description

This Tomato Burrata Pepperoni Pizza Dip is a rich, cheesy appetizer that combines creamy burrata, tangy marinara, fresh cherry tomatoes, pepperoni, and a blend of mozzarella and Parmesan. Baked until bubbly and golden, it’s perfect for parties or game days served with crusty bread or veggies for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheese & Dairy

  • 1 (8 oz) ball of burrata cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Vegetables & Sauce

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Meat & Oils

  • 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices (or regular pepperoni, chopped)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Seasonings & Garnish

  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

To Serve

  • Crusty bread, crackers, or veggie sticks (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a medium baking dish or a small oven-safe skillet with non-stick spray or a little olive oil to prevent sticking and help with easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Dip Base: Spread the marinara sauce evenly on the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Tear the burrata cheese into chunks and place them over the sauce. Add the halved cherry tomatoes on top, then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheeses evenly over all layers to build a rich, cheesy base.
  3. Add the Toppings: Scatter the mini pepperoni slices or chopped regular pepperoni evenly over the cheese. Drizzle the olive oil on top and sprinkle with dried oregano, garlic powder, and optional red pepper flakes for a hint of heat. Season with salt and pepper to taste, balancing the flavors.
  4. Bake the Dip: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the pepperoni starts to crisp. For an extra golden and bubbly top, broil the dip for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Remove the dip from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve immediately with crusty bread, crackers, or veggie sticks for dipping to enjoy a warm, savory appetizer.

Notes

  • You can substitute mini pepperoni with regular pepperoni chopped into small pieces if mini is unavailable.
  • Use fresh marinara for the best flavor, or choose your favorite store-bought brand for convenience.
  • Broiling at the end is optional, but it adds a nice golden crust to the cheese and pepperoni.
  • This dip is best served hot and fresh but can be reheated gently in the oven before serving.
  • For a vegetarian version, omit the pepperoni and add sautéed mushrooms or olives instead.
