- 2-3 tablespoons mayonnaise

Instructions
- Spread Mayonnaise: Spread the mayonnaise generously over one side of each slice of bread, ensuring even coverage to help achieve a golden crust during cooking.
- Heat Skillet: Heat a skillet over medium heat to prepare for grilling the sandwich.
- Assemble Sandwich: Place a slice of bread, mayonnaise side down, onto the hot skillet. Then sprinkle half a cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the bread, even if some cheese touches the skillet.
- Add Top Slice and Cook: Place the second slice of bread, mayonnaise side up, on top of the cheese. Cook the sandwich for 4-5 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, adjusting heat as needed to avoid burning.
- Flip and Finish: Carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is melted. Remove from skillet and serve warm.
