Instructions

  1. Prepare Yeast Mixture: In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until foamy, about 5–10 minutes.
  2. Mix Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, condensed milk, egg, and yeast mixture. Knead until smooth.
  3. Rise: Let dough rise covered for 1–1.5 hours until doubled.
  4. Shape and Rise: Divide dough, shape into logs, place in loaf pan, and let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
  5. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F. Brush dough with milk, bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and hollow-sounding.
  6. Cool: Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
