Description

This delightful Strawberry Condensed Milk Cake combines a moist white cake base with the sweet flavors of strawberry gelatin and condensed milk. Topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, this no-fuss dessert is perfect for gatherings or a sweet treat to enjoy anytime.

Ingredients

Scale

Cake:

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) white cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water

Gelatin Topping:

  • 1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water

Other Toppings:

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping
  • Fresh strawberries, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Baking Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish thoroughly to prevent the cake from sticking.
  2. Mix Cake Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix well until the batter is smooth and evenly blended.
  3. Bake the Cake: Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes once removed from the oven.
  4. Prepare Strawberry Gelatin: While the cake cools, dissolve the strawberry gelatin powder in 1 cup of boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved.
  5. Apply Gelatin to Cake: Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes evenly all over the surface of the warm cake. Slowly pour the dissolved gelatin over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes and spread evenly.
  6. Add Sweetened Condensed Milk: Pour the entire can of sweetened condensed milk evenly over the gelatin-soaked cake, ensuring full coverage.
  7. Chill the Cake: Place the cake in the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight to let the flavors meld and the gelatin set.
  8. Top and Garnish: Once chilled, spread the whipped topping evenly over the top of the cake. Garnish with fresh strawberries for an added burst of flavor and color.
  9. Serve: Slice the cake into pieces and serve chilled. Enjoy your refreshing strawberry condensed milk cake!

Notes

  • Make sure to poke holes evenly and thoroughly to allow the gelatin and condensed milk to seep into and flavor the cake.
  • For best results, refrigerate overnight to let the cake fully absorb the toppings.
  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for garnish to enhance the flavor and presentation.
  • This cake is best served chilled and can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
