Vegetables & Garnishes
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (like bell peppers, carrots, or broccoli)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak & Shrimp: In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons soy sauce with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Add the thinly sliced flank steak and marinate for 10-15 minutes to enhance flavor and tenderness.
- Cook the Steak: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak slices and sear them for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the shrimp along with the minced garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes, flipping halfway through until the shrimp turns pink and is cooked thoroughly. Remove and set aside with the steak.
- Cook the Noodles: Cook the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain well and set aside.
- Make the Sauce & Stir-Fry Vegetables: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, chili flakes (if using), and brown sugar. In the skillet, add a little oil if needed and stir-fry the mixed vegetables for 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
- Combine Everything: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the prepared sauce over and toss until the noodles and veggies are evenly coated. Return the cooked steak and shrimp to the skillet and stir everything together until heated through and well combined.
- Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve the steak and shrimp noodles hot for a delicious and hearty meal.
