Marinade:
- 1 pound flank steak (thinly sliced against the grain)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
Stir-Fry:
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)
- 1 green bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 red bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 medium onion (sliced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
- 1/4 cup low-sodium beef broth
Instructions
- Marinate the Steak: In a medium bowl, combine the sliced steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, sugar, black pepper, and sesame oil. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Sear the Steak: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear the marinated steak for 1–2 minutes per side until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Stir-Fry Vegetables: Add the remaining oil to the skillet. Stir-fry the bell peppers and onions for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender. Add garlic and ginger, stir-fry for 30 seconds.
- Combine and Serve: Return the beef to the pan. Pour in the beef broth, stir, and cook for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens. Serve hot over steamed rice.
