Description

This Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast recipe is a hearty and satisfying way to start your day. Perfect for a delicious and quick morning meal, these breakfast sandwiches are packed with protein and flavor.

Ingredients

Sausage Patties:

4 breakfast sausage patties,

Eggs:

4 large eggs,

Cheddar Cheese:

4 slices cheddar cheese,

English Muffins or Biscuits:

4 English muffins or biscuits (split and toasted),

Butter:

1 tablespoon butter,

Salt and Pepper:

to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook Sausage: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the sausage patties until browned and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  2. Cook Eggs: In the same skillet, melt the butter. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your preferred doneness—fried or scrambled. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Assemble: Place a slice of cheese on top of each cooked sausage patty while still hot, allowing it to melt slightly. Layer one sausage patty with melted cheese and one egg on each toasted English muffin or biscuit half. Top with the other half and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can use pre-cooked sausage to save time.
  • For added flavor, try spreading a little maple syrup or hot sauce on the sandwich before serving.
  • Easily customizable with different cheeses or by adding veggies like spinach or tomato.
