Cake:

- 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Cream butter and sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add almond and vanilla extracts.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour. Stir until just combined.
- Add raspberries: Gently fold in the raspberries. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
- Bake: Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Optional glaze: If desired, whisk together the glaze ingredients and drizzle over the cooled loaf before serving.
