Peach Mixture:
- 4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
- 6 cups water
Tea Base:
- 4 black tea bags
- 1/4 cup honey, or to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- Ice cubes
- Additional peach slices and basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Peach Mixture: In a medium saucepan, combine sliced peaches and 2 cups of water. Boil, then simmer for 10 minutes. Mash peaches, strain through a sieve, and discard solids.
- Tea Base: Boil 4 cups water, steep tea bags and basil for 5–7 minutes. Remove bags and basil, stir in honey. Combine tea with peach juice. Chill for 1 hour.
- Serve over ice with optional garnish.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by varying honey
- For stronger peach flavor, blend the strained peach mixture and return to tea
- Green tea or herbal tea can be used as alternatives
