Description

This easy and creamy Oreo Mud Pie is a no-bake dessert that combines chocolate pudding, Cool Whip, and crushed Oreos for a decadent treat. With minimal prep time and simple ingredients, it’s perfect for satisfying chocolate and cookie cravings any time.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Pudding Mixture

  • 1 box of chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 containers of Cool Whip (8 oz each)

Oreos

  • 1 sleeve of crushed Oreos
  • 1 sleeve of crushed Oreos (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pudding: In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate pudding mix with 2 cups of whole milk. Whisk together until the mixture thickens according to the package instructions, usually around 2 to 5 minutes.
  2. Mix in Cool Whip: Add both containers of Cool Whip to the thickened pudding. Gently fold them together using a spatula until fully combined without deflating the mixture.
  3. Add Crushed Oreos: Crush one sleeve of Oreos finely or roughly as desired, then fold them into the pudding and Cool Whip mixture evenly.
  4. Layer the Mixture: Pour half of the Oreo pudding mixture into a serving dish or pie pan and smooth it out evenly with a spatula.
  5. Top with More Oreos: Sprinkle the remaining crushed Oreos on top of the pudding layer for an added crunchy texture.
  6. Chill: Place the dish in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours to allow the dessert to set and flavors to meld.
  7. Serve: Once chilled, serve your Oreo Mud Pie as is, or optionally top with extra whipped cream or additional crushed Oreos for garnish.

Notes

  • For a richer pudding, use whole milk as indicated.
  • Chilling time is essential; do not skip to ensure the dessert firms up properly.
  • To vary texture, crush Oreos to your preferred chunk size.
  • For added flair, serve with a drizzle of chocolate syrup or a sprinkle of sea salt.
  • This dessert is best consumed within 2 days when kept refrigerated.
