Scale
Chocolate Pudding Mixture
- 1 box of chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 containers of Cool Whip (8 oz each)
Oreos
- 1 sleeve of crushed Oreos
- 1 sleeve of crushed Oreos (for topping)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pudding: In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate pudding mix with 2 cups of whole milk. Whisk together until the mixture thickens according to the package instructions, usually around 2 to 5 minutes.
- Mix in Cool Whip: Add both containers of Cool Whip to the thickened pudding. Gently fold them together using a spatula until fully combined without deflating the mixture.
- Add Crushed Oreos: Crush one sleeve of Oreos finely or roughly as desired, then fold them into the pudding and Cool Whip mixture evenly.
- Layer the Mixture: Pour half of the Oreo pudding mixture into a serving dish or pie pan and smooth it out evenly with a spatula.
- Top with More Oreos: Sprinkle the remaining crushed Oreos on top of the pudding layer for an added crunchy texture.
- Chill: Place the dish in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours to allow the dessert to set and flavors to meld.
- Serve: Once chilled, serve your Oreo Mud Pie as is, or optionally top with extra whipped cream or additional crushed Oreos for garnish.
Notes
- For a richer pudding, use whole milk as indicated.
- Chilling time is essential; do not skip to ensure the dessert firms up properly.
- To vary texture, crush Oreos to your preferred chunk size.
