Ingredients
Scale
Beef Mixture
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1/3 cup water
Cheese Sauce
- 1 cup nacho cheese sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Wrap Fillings
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion
- 1/2 cup crushed tortilla chips
- 4 large flour tortillas (burrito size)
Optional
- Sour cream (for serving)
Instructions
- Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Season the Beef: Add the taco seasoning mix and 1/3 cup water to the cooked beef. Stir well to combine and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- Warm the Cheese Sauce: In a small saucepan or microwave, heat the nacho cheese sauce until hot and smooth for easy spreading.
- Assemble the Wraps: Lay each flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Evenly distribute the seasoned beef mixture down the center of each tortilla.
- Add Toppings: Spoon the warm nacho cheese over the beef on each tortilla. Then top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped red onions, and crushed tortilla chips to add freshness and crunch.
- Roll the Wraps: Fold in the sides of each tortilla towards the center and roll tightly to enclose the filling, forming a wrap. Slice each wrap in half diagonally if desired.
- Serve: Serve the wraps warm, optionally with a side of sour cream for dipping or dolloping.
Notes
- Substitute ground beef with ground turkey or plant-based crumbles for a lighter or vegetarian version.
- Add sliced jalapeños or hot sauce to the filling for extra heat and spice.
- For a crispier texture, lightly grill or toast the wraps in a skillet after rolling.
