- Prepare the sauce: In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, water, black pepper, and cornstarch until the mixture is smooth and well combined, ensuring the cornstarch is fully dissolved to prevent lumps.
- Cook noodles: Boil the noodles according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Stir-fry noodles and aromatics: Heat some oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and your choice of vegetables or meat, stir-frying until cooked through. Then add the cooked noodles, tossing to combine and heat through.
- Add sauce: Pour the prepared Lo Mein sauce over the hot noodle mixture. Stir continuously until the noodles are fully coated and the sauce thickens slightly, about 1-2 minutes.
