  • 500 grams Boneless skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups napa cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 scrambled eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For Serving:

  • 8 Mandarin pancakes or flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Moo Shu Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add chicken, cook until no longer pink. Add mushrooms, cabbage, and carrots; cook until tender. Push ingredients aside, pour eggs on the other side, scramble. Combine everything. Add hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, five-spice powder, salt, and pepper. Stir and heat through.
  2. Serve: Warm the filling and serve with pancakes or tortillas for assembling wraps.
