Topping (Concha-style):
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- â…“ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Food coloring or cocoa powder (optional)
Instructions
- Main Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Stir in warm milk, eggs, butter, and vanilla until well mixed. Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth. Let rise for 1½ hours.
- Topping: Mix powdered sugar, flour, butter, and vanilla until a thick paste forms. Divide and tint with coloring if desired.
- Shape dough into balls, top with paste, score patterns, and let rise. Bake at 350°F for 18–20 minutes.
