For the Beef Layer:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 2/3 cup water
- 1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
For the Cheese Layer:
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 can (4 ounces) diced green chilies
For the Biscuit Layer:
- 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
- 1/2 cup water
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess grease. Add taco seasoning and water, simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Prepare the biscuit layer by mixing Bisquick and water to form dough. Press into a greased baking dish.
- Layer ingredients in this order: beef, cheese mixture, onions, bell peppers, diced tomatoes. Top with remaining cheeses.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until bubbly and golden. Let cool before serving.
