Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare baking sheets: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream the butter, powdered sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and extracts: Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract if using.
- Mix in dry ingredients: Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing just until the dough comes together.
- Pipe the dough: Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe strips or rosettes onto the prepared baking sheets.
