- 2 tablespoons chopped nuts or seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together mashed bananas, eggs, honey, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Combine wet and dry: Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
- Bake: Pour batter into the pan, spread evenly, and bake for 45–55 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
- Cool and serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
