Description

Celebrate Halloween with this fun and festive Ghost Pizza recipe. Using a pre-made pizza crust, pizza sauce, and plenty of mozzarella cheese, this Halloween-themed pizza features adorable ghost-shaped mozzarella toppings and black olive eyes, perfect for a spooky party or family treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Pizza Base

  • 1 pre-made pizza crust
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Ghost Toppings

  • 6 slices of mozzarella cheese (for ghost shapes)
  • Black olives, sliced (for eyes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven according to the instructions on your pizza crust package, generally to about 425°F (220°C).

  2. Prepare the Pizza Base:

Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the surface of the pre-made pizza crust to form the base layer.

  3. Add the Cheese:

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauced crust to cover it well.

  4. Bake the Pizza:

Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.

  5. Create Ghost Shapes:

While the pizza bakes, cut ghost shapes out of the mozzarella cheese slices using a ghost-shaped cookie cutter or by freehand to form the ghost figures.

  6. Assemble the Ghosts:

Once the pizza is baked, carefully place the ghost-shaped mozzarella slices on top of the warm pizza so they begin to slightly melt and adhere.

  7. Add the Eyes:

Finish by adding two olive slices onto each ghost to create the eyes, giving your Halloween pizza its spooky character.

Notes

  • You can substitute the pre-made pizza crust with homemade dough if desired.
  • If you don’t have a ghost-shaped cookie cutter, you can draw and cut ghost shapes freehand with a knife.
  • Serve immediately for best taste and texture as the ghost cheese will soften over time.
  • Consider adding other toppings if preferred, but keep them minimal to preserve the ghost design.
