Ingredients
Rice:
1 cup long-grain white rice (such as jasmine or basmati)
Liquid:
2 cups water or low-sodium chicken broth
Seasonings:
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter, 3 cloves garlic (minced), 1 teaspoon ground turmeric, 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste), 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Garnish:
Fresh chopped parsley or cilantro (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the rice: Under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Sauté garlic: Heat oil or butter, add garlic, sauté until fragrant.
