Description

This Garlic Parmesan Steak Tortellini recipe is a quick and flavorful meal perfect for busy weeknights. Tender cubes of strip steak and fresh vegetables are cooked together on a griddle with frozen cheese tortellini, then tossed in a rich Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Sauce and garnished with shredded Parmesan cheese. Ready in just 30 minutes, this dish combines hearty proteins with delicious Italian-inspired flavors for a satisfying four-serving dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak and Vegetables

  • 2 strip steaks, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil or olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 large zucchini, cut into smaller pieces
  • 10 oz grape tomatoes, halved

Pasta and Sauce

  • 1 (19 oz) bag frozen cheese tortellini
  • ¼ – ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Sauce

Seasoning and Garnish

  • Heath Riles’ Garlic Butter Seasoning, to taste
  • Shredded Parmesan cheese, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep Ingredients: Cut the strip steaks into bite-sized cubes, slice the onion, and cut the zucchini into smaller pieces to prepare all vegetables and protein for cooking.
  2. Cook on Griddle: Heat a griddle over medium heat and add the avocado or olive oil. Place the sliced onion, zucchini, grape tomatoes, and steak cubes on the griddle. Season everything evenly with Heath Riles’ Garlic Butter Seasoning.
  3. Cook Tortellini: Add the frozen cheese tortellini directly to the griddle along with ¼ to ½ cup of water. Cover the griddle with a dome or lid to steam the tortellini for 3-5 minutes until tender.
  4. Toss with Sauce: Once the tortellini is cooked, stir in the Parmesan Garlic Sauce thoroughly to coat the pasta and evenly distribute flavor. Remove the tortellini mixture from the griddle to prevent overcooking.
  5. Finish and Serve: Continue cooking the vegetables and steak on the griddle until the steak reaches your preferred doneness and the vegetables are tender. Plate the tortellini and top with the cooked steak and vegetables. Garnish with shredded Parmesan cheese and serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • You can substitute avocado oil with olive oil or any neutral oil of your choice.
  • The beef can be swapped for chicken or pork if preferred.
  • If you don’t have a griddle, a large skillet or frying pan can be used with a lid to steam the tortellini.
  • Adjust the amount of water depending on how much steam the tortellini needs to cook thoroughly.
  • Toasting the Heath Riles’ Garlic Butter Seasoning on the griddle before adding the ingredients can enhance its flavor.
