  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • juice of 1/2 lemon

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter. Sauté garlic until fragrant. Add mushrooms, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook until mushrooms are tender.
  3. Combine: Add cooked pasta, Parmesan, and a splash of pasta water to the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta with a light sauce.
  4. Finish: Mix in parsley and lemon juice. Adjust seasoning as needed. Serve with extra Parmesan.
