Ingredients
Scale
Steak Bites
- 1½ pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
Sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Season the steak bites. Generously season the sirloin steak pieces with salt and pepper to enhance the flavor before cooking.
- Heat the skillet. Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil, allowing it to warm.
- Sear the steak bites. Add the steak pieces in a single layer without overcrowding the skillet. Sear for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until they develop a golden crust and are just cooked through. Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
- Prepare garlic butter. Reduce heat to medium and add the butter along with the minced garlic to the same skillet. Stir continuously for about 1 minute until the garlic becomes fragrant.
- Add the cream. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer to start thickening the sauce.
- Incorporate cheese and seasoning. Stir in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning if using. Continue to cook until the sauce thickens slightly and becomes creamy.
- Toss steak in sauce. Return the cooked steak bites to the skillet and toss them thoroughly to coat each piece in the rich Parmesan cream sauce.
- Garnish and serve. Sprinkle fresh parsley over the skillet for garnish and serve the steak bites hot for a decadent meal.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the skillet when searing steak bites to ensure they brown properly instead of steaming.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for best flavor and texture in the cream sauce.
- Italian seasoning is optional but adds an extra herbal note to the sauce.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream, though sauce richness will decrease slightly.
- Serve with crusty bread or over mashed potatoes to soak up the delicious sauce.
