Ingredients
Scale
Dough
- 1 batch Greek yogurt dough (see notes for alternatives)
Topping
- 1/4 cup butter (or olive oil), melted
- 3 tablespoons garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar recommended)
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a large baking tray with parchment paper and set it aside to prepare for baking.
- Prepare Dough: Combine the Greek yogurt with flour to form a smooth dough. Shape the dough into a rough rectangular shape and transfer it onto the prepared baking tray.
- Coat Dough: Using a pastry brush, lightly coat the top of the dough with melted butter or olive oil, ensuring the entire surface is covered evenly.
- Apply Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter (or olive oil) with the minced garlic. Brush this mixture generously over the dough’s surface, leaving about a half-inch border around the edges untouched.
- Add Cheese and Seasoning: Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top of the dough, followed by a light dusting of Italian seasoning to enhance the flavor.
- Bake: Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-17 minutes until the edges turn golden brown and the cheese has melted completely.
- Finish and Serve: Remove the breadsticks from the oven and optionally sprinkle with additional Italian seasoning. Slice the baked dough into breadsticks using a pizza cutter and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- You can substitute the Greek yogurt dough with store-bought pizza dough for convenience.
- Butter can be replaced entirely with olive oil for a lighter option.
- Use a mix of mozzarella and cheddar cheese for a richer flavor.
- Serve with marinara sauce or garlic butter for dipping.
- Store leftover breadsticks in an airtight container and reheat in the oven for best texture.
