Description

A vibrant and refreshing Galaxy Lemonade Slushie made with lemonade, frozen berries, and a touch of edible glitter for a magical, swirling effect. Perfect for summer, this colorful slushie combines tart lemonade with the natural sweetness of blueberries and blackberries to create a visually stunning and deliciously chilled beverage.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups lemonade
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen blackberries
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon edible glitter or shimmer dust (optional)
  • Food coloring (blue, purple, and pink – optional for visual effect)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a blender, add the lemonade, ice, lemon juice, and a small pinch of edible glitter if using. Blend the mixture until it becomes smooth and slushy.
  2. Divide Mixture: Pour the blended mixture evenly into three separate bowls to prepare the different color layers.
  3. Add Color and Fruit: In the first bowl, blend in the frozen blueberries to create a deep purple hue. In the second bowl, blend in the frozen blackberries for a darker color tone. Leave the third bowl as is or add a drop of pink food coloring for contrast.
  4. Layer the Slushies: Alternate spoonfuls of each colored slush into serving glasses, layering to mimic a galaxy effect.
  5. Create the Swirl: Gently swirl the layered colors together using a straw or spoon to achieve a marbled appearance.
  6. Serve Immediately: Garnish with a sprinkle of edible glitter on top if desired, and serve the slushie right away for the best texture and visual appeal.

Notes

  • Use either pre-made or homemade lemonade depending on preference and availability.
  • For an adult version, add 1–2 oz of vodka or gin per serving to make it boozy.
  • Freezing the fruit in advance will create a thicker and icier texture to the slushie.
