Instructions
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Prepare Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then whisk in the milk and vanilla extract.
- Combine and Mix: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Fry: Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil. Fry for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain and Serve: Remove from oil, drain on paper towels, dust with powdered sugar while warm, and serve.
