Primary Ingredients
- 2 whole lemons, peeled
- 2 large bunches of fresh ginger
- 1 whole head of garlic
- 2 tablespoons turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 ½ tablespoons cayenne pepper (optional for spice)
- ½ tablespoon apple cider vinegar (ACV)
- 1 ½ tablespoons honey
- 3 cups water
Instructions
- Blend Ingredients: Combine the peeled lemons, fresh ginger, whole head of garlic, turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, cayenne pepper (if using), apple cider vinegar, honey, and water in a blender. Blend thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Strain Mixture: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove any solid pieces, ensuring a smooth liquid base for the tea bombs.
- Freeze: Pour the strained liquid evenly into a silicone muffin tray, filling each compartment with about 1/8 cup of the mixture. Place the tray in the freezer and allow the liquid to freeze solid, typically taking several hours or overnight.
- Serve: When ready to use, remove a tea bomb from the freezer and drop it into a cup of hot water. Stir gently and enjoy the warm, immune-boosting tea.
Notes
- The cayenne pepper is optional and can be adjusted or omitted depending on your spice tolerance.
- Use silicone muffin trays for easy removal of frozen tea bombs.
- Store the frozen tea bombs in an airtight container or plastic bag in the freezer to preserve their potency and freshness.
- This recipe makes about 12 servings based on 1/8 cup per tea bomb.
- Honey can be substituted with a vegan sweetener if desired.
