- Lettuce or spinach (optional)
- Sliced tomato (optional)
- Hot sauce or ketchup (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts evenly with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder if using to infuse flavor.
- Heat Skillet: Place a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil to warm.
- Cook Chicken: Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Rest and Slice Chicken: Remove chicken from skillet, allow to rest for a few minutes to retain juices, then slice into thin strips or pieces.
- Prepare Eggs: In a small bowl, whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper until fully combined.
- Scramble Eggs: Using the same or a clean skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Pour in beaten eggs and scramble gently for 2-3 minutes until fluffy and fully cooked. Remove from heat.
- Toast Buns: Slice sandwich buns in half and butter the cut sides. Toast them in the skillet or under the broiler until golden and crispy, about 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble Sandwich: On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer a slice of cheese, followed by scrambled eggs, and then the sliced chicken pieces.
- Add Fresh Ingredients: If desired, add lettuce or spinach and sliced tomato for extra freshness and texture.
- Top and Serve: If preferred, drizzle hot sauce or ketchup over the contents, then place the top bun half on each sandwich. Serve warm and enjoy your filling breakfast sandwich.
