Description

Creamy and flavorful, this Easy Marry Me Chicken recipe is a delightful dish that combines tender chicken with a rich, savory sauce. Perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner or a special occasion, this stovetop chicken dish is sure to impress!

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes (chopped)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the chicken: Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and sear for 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and nearly cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Prepare the sauce: In the same skillet, add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and deglaze the pan. Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan, chili flakes, oregano, thyme, and sun-dried tomatoes. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Finish the dish: Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top. Simmer for another 5–7 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce is creamy. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.

Notes

  • Serve over pasta, mashed potatoes, or with a side of crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
  • For a lighter option, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
