Description
Indulge in these decadent and easy-to-make chocolate-covered strawberries. Perfect for a romantic dessert or a sweet treat for any occasion.
Ingredients
Fresh Strawberries:
1 pound, rinsed and dried completely;
Semi-Sweet or Dark Chocolate:
8 ounces, chopped (or chocolate chips);
Optional Toppings:
crushed nuts, sprinkles, shredded coconut, or white chocolate drizzle
Instructions
- Prepare the Chocolate: Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler to melt the chocolate.
- Dip the Strawberries: Hold each strawberry by the stem or use a toothpick to dip it into the melted chocolate, covering about two-thirds of the berry. Let excess chocolate drip off, then place the strawberry on the prepared baking sheet. If using toppings, sprinkle them on before the chocolate sets.
- Add Decorative Drizzle: For an optional decorative touch, melt white chocolate and drizzle it over the dipped berries using a spoon or piping bag.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the strawberries for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set fully. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
- Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping for better chocolate adhesion.
- Best enjoyed the same day but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
