Description

Instructions

  1. Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, and almond extract. Mix until combined.
  3. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until dough forms.
  4. Divide dough in half, flatten into discs, and chill for at least 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Roll out chilled dough, cut out cookies, and bake for 8–10 minutes.
  7. Cool cookies on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Decorate with icing and decorations. Let icing set before serving or storing.
