Dredge:

  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 2 eggs

Hot Honey Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (more to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Salmon: Combine buttermilk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Marinate salmon strips for 20 minutes to 2 hours.
  2. Prepare the Dredge: Mix flour, panko, and cornmeal in a shallow dish. Beat eggs in a separate bowl.
  3. Dredge the Salmon: Coat salmon strips in the flour mixture, then egg, then flour again.
  4. Fry the Salmon: Fry in vegetable oil until golden and crispy.
  5. Make the Hot Honey Sauce: Warm honey, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes. Drizzle over salmon tenders.
