Description

This Creamy Tuscan Dip is a rich and flavorful appetizer combining cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, Italian seasoning, sun-dried tomatoes, and spinach. Baked until bubbly and golden, it’s perfect for serving warm with bread or crackers at any party or family gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup sour cream

Cheeses and Seasonings

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Veggies

  • ⅓ cup sun-dried tomatoes, drained and chopped
  • 6 ounces spinach, thawed and drained

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to get it ready for baking the dip. Spray a 1-quart baking dish with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking and set it aside.
  2. Combine Cream Cheese and Sour Cream: In a medium bowl, add the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Using a hand mixer, blend these together until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
  3. Add Cheese and Seasonings: Stir in the minced garlic, garlic powder, salt, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning into the cream cheese mixture, ensuring all ingredients are well combined for maximum flavor.
  4. Fold in Tomatoes and Spinach: Gently fold in the chopped sun-dried tomatoes and thawed, drained spinach. Mix until evenly distributed without breaking down the veggies.
  5. Bake: Spread the creamy mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until the dip is heated through and bubbly on top.
  6. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve the dip warm alongside sliced bread, a baguette, or your favorite crackers for dipping.

Notes

  • Make sure to fully thaw and drain the spinach to avoid excess moisture in the dip.
  • Use good-quality sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil for enhanced flavor.
  • This dip can be prepared a day ahead and baked just before serving.
  • For added heat, sprinkle some crushed red pepper flakes in the cheese mixture.
  • Leftover dip can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
