Description

A rich and flavorful Creamy Garlic Beef Pasta combining tender slices of beef sirloin with a luscious garlic-infused cream sauce tossed with perfectly cooked pasta. Ready in just 30 minutes, this comforting dish is perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 8 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your choice)

Beef and Sauce

  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional, for extra depth of flavor)
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper (or to taste)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about ½ cup of the pasta cooking water for later use.
  2. Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced beef and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside to keep warm.
  3. Make the Garlic Cream Sauce: In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed, then sauté the minced garlic over medium heat until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce (if using), scraping up any browned bits from the pan to enhance the flavor. Pour in the heavy cream and stir in dried Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Combine the Pasta and Beef: Add the cooked pasta into the skillet with the creamy garlic sauce, tossing gently to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water gradually until the desired sauce consistency is reached. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss everything together to combine well.
  5. Finish and Serve: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and integrated into the sauce. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately while hot for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Use thinly sliced beef sirloin or flank steak for tender, quick cooking.
  • Reserve pasta water to adjust sauce consistency and help it cling to the pasta.
  • Worcestershire sauce is optional but adds depth and umami to the sauce.
  • For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half, but sauce may be less rich.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese yields the best flavor and texture.
