Description

Indulge in this exquisite Crab & Shrimp Stuffed Salmon recipe for an elegant seafood meal that is sure to impress. Succulent salmon fillets are filled with a delectable mixture of lump crab meat, cooked shrimp, and flavorful seasonings, then baked to perfection. A perfect dish for a special occasion or a gourmet dinner at home.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Stuffed Salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin removed
  • 4 oz lump crab meat
  • 4 oz cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the salmon: Make a horizontal slit in each salmon fillet to create a pocket for stuffing, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  3. Make the stuffing: In a bowl, combine crab meat, chopped shrimp, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, panko breadcrumbs, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  4. Stuff the salmon: Fill each salmon fillet with the crab and shrimp mixture, dividing it evenly.
  5. Sear the salmon: Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Sear the salmon fillets for 2–3 minutes per side until lightly golden.
  6. Bake: Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10–12 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Serve: Serve hot with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • You can prepare the stuffing mixture ahead of time and refrigerate it until ready to use.
  • For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise.
