Ingredients
Scale
Crescent Dough
- 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
Filling
- 1/2 cup crab meat (canned, fresh, or imitation)
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Garnish
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Dough. Unroll the crescent roll dough and carefully separate it into individual triangles, setting them aside.
- Mix Filling. In a medium bowl, combine the crab meat, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix everything until well blended.
- Fill Crescents. Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the crab mixture onto the wide end of each crescent dough triangle, distributing the filling evenly.
- Roll Crescents. Starting from the wide end, carefully roll each crescent toward the pointed end, sealing the edges as you go to keep the filling inside.
- Arrange for Baking. Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, making sure to leave space between each for even baking.
- Bake. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and the crust is crisp.
- Cool and Garnish. Remove the crescents from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
- Serve. Serve the crab and cheese crescents warm for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Use fresh or canned crab meat, or imitation crab based on availability and preference.
- For extra crispiness, brush crescents with a little melted butter before baking.
- Can be served as an appetizer, snack, or party finger food.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the oven to maintain crispiness.
- Adjust seasonings like garlic powder and pepper to taste.
