Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare baking sheets: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  3. Cream butter and sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy, about 2 minutes.

  5. Mix dry and wet ingredients: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Bake: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart. Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until edges are golden but centers are still soft.
  7. Cool: Let cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
