Ingredients
Scale
For the Beef:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
For Assembly:
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 4 large flour tortillas (burrito size)
- 1 bag (16 oz) frozen French fries
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for fries)
- Chopped cilantro and sliced jalapeños for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Fries: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread frozen fries on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat. Season with chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 more minutes.
- Assemble the Burritos: Warm tortillas, layer with beef, fries, cheeses, sour cream, and salsa. Roll up burrito-style, tucking in the sides. Grill in a skillet for a toasted finish.
- Serve: Garnish with cilantro or jalapeños and enjoy warm!
Notes
- You can swap out the ground beef for ground turkey or a plant-based alternative.
- For extra kick, add hot sauce or pickled jalapeños inside the burritos.
