Description

This Caesar Chicken recipe features tender, juicy boneless chicken breasts marinated in creamy Caesar dressing, then coated with a flavorful mixture of Parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs. Baked to golden perfection, it’s a deliciously easy dinner option that combines classic Caesar flavors with a crispy, cheesy crust.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Marinade

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup (240ml) Caesar salad dressing

Coating

  • 1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup (60g) panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried parsley
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking dish by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper to prevent sticking and to make cleanup easier.
  2. Prepare the Chicken: Pound each chicken breast to an even thickness of about ½ inch to ensure even cooking throughout the pieces.
  3. Marinate: Coat the chicken breasts evenly with the Caesar salad dressing and allow them to marinate for at least 15 minutes, which helps tenderize the meat and infuse flavor.
  4. Make the Coating Mixture: In a bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create the flavorful coating.
  5. Coat the Chicken: Dredge each marinated chicken breast in the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to make sure the coating adheres well to the surface.
  6. Bake: Arrange the coated chicken breasts in a single layer in the prepared baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the coating is golden brown and the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Rest and Serve: Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Garnish with fresh parsley, additional Parmesan cheese, or lemon wedges if desired before serving.

Notes

  • To ensure even cooking, pound the chicken breasts to a uniform thickness.
  • Marinating for longer (up to 30 minutes) will enhance the flavor further.
  • If desired, substitute panko with regular breadcrumbs for a finer texture.
  • Serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Use fresh Parmesan cheese for the best flavor and texture.
