Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- Make the Crust: Cream together the softened butter and ½ cup sugar until light and fluffy. Add 2 cups of flour and salt, mix until a soft dough forms. Press into the prepared pan to form the crust. Bake for 18-20 minutes.
- Prepare the Filling: Whisk together eggs, 1½ cups sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, and ¼ cup flour until smooth.
- Combine: Pour the lemon mixture over the hot crust. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until set.
- Cool and Serve: Let the bars cool, refrigerate for at least 1 hour, then dust with powdered sugar before slicing and serving.
