Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, egg yolk, vanilla extract, and cream cheese until smooth.
- Combine Ingredients: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Form Dough Balls: Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized balls and roll in remaining sugar to coat.
- Bake: Place dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are set and centers are slightly soft.
- Cool: Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
