- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (15-ounce) can refried beans
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
For Serving:
- 6 large flour tortillas
- Optional toppings: sour cream, chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced jalapeños, chopped cilantro
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef and Bean Filling: Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Cook onion until softened, then add garlic and cook. Add ground beef, seasonings, refried beans, salsa, and water. Cook until heated through. Stir in cheeses until melted.
- Assemble the Burritos: Warm tortillas, spoon beef and bean mixture down the center, fold in the sides, and roll up tightly.
- Serve: Top with optional toppings and enjoy!
Notes
- To make ahead, wrap burritos in foil and refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
