Description

These Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are the perfect combination of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors. Tender chicken skewers are grilled to perfection and then drizzled with a creamy and zesty bang bang sauce. Easy to make and bursting with delicious Asian-inspired taste!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

For the Chicken Skewers:

  • 1 ½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For Garnish (Optional):

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
  • Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice. Set aside half of the sauce for serving.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, toss chicken pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Skewer the Chicken: Thread chicken pieces onto skewers, leaving space between each piece.
  4. Grill the Skewers: Preheat grill over medium-high heat. Grill skewers for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through.
  5. Finish with Sauce: During the last few minutes of cooking, brush skewers with some reserved bang bang sauce.
  6. Serve: Remove skewers from grill, drizzle with remaining sauce, and garnish with cilantro, green onions, or sesame seeds.

Notes

  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  • The sauce can also be used as a dipping sauce or salad dressing.
  • For a milder version, reduce the amount of sriracha.
