Description

Avocado Tuna Melt Bagels are a delicious and satisfying lunch option that combines creamy avocado, flavorful tuna, and melted cheese on a toasted bagel. Perfect for a quick and easy meal!

Bagel:

  • 2 bagels (halved)

Avocado Mash:

  • 1 ripe avocado (mashed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Tuna Mixture:

  • 1 (5 oz) can tuna in water (drained)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Additional Toppings:

  • 4 slices tomato
  • 4 slices cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • Chopped fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler. In a small bowl, mash the avocado with lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, mix the drained tuna with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
  2. Toast the bagels. Lightly toast the bagel halves under the broiler for 1–2 minutes until golden.
  3. Assemble the bagels. Spread mashed avocado on each half, top with tuna mixture, a slice of tomato, and a slice of cheese.
  4. Broil the bagels. Return to the broiler and heat for 2–3 minutes until cheese is melted. Garnish with parsley or chives.
  5. Serve. Enjoy warm!
